The Heartbeat Behind Living Legacy

Two of the most powerful gifts our Heavenly Father gives us are:

At Living Legacy, we believe every earthly father (and mother) has the sacred opportunity to do the same. Through a guided conversation, we help you speak words of life and identity over your loved ones — and share your heart, personality, and stories in a way that can be cherished for generations. Your voice matters. Let’s preserve it.

The Beginning of Living Legacy...

It began the morning after my wife and I finalized Evelyn's (our daughter) adoption. I was up early with her and was overwhelmed with pride and joy. I knew that I wanted her to know, I needed her to know, just how much I loved her, even though she was just 6 months old and hadn't really "done" anything yet.


A thought crossed my mind... If something were to suddenly happen to me and I were to pass away, she would never really know who I am or what I thought about her. Children don't begin developing concrete memories until around age 6. I would be at the mercy of others communicating what they THOUGHT I believed about her and how much I loved her.


That's when I decided to get my phone out and record a short video of what I was feeling at the time. I made sure to tell my daughter how much I loved her and how proud I was of her. Over time I recorded a few more videos so that I could capture some of my personality, my quirks, my hobbies, my love for Kentucky basketball, my love for God. These videos are incredibly valuable to me (and one day it will be valuable to my daughter). I started Living Legacy because I want to provide others with the opportunity where we partner to create equally valuable content for them.
